To have an effective campaing you should really have a good mix of all of them, the web is dynamic and fast changing what is relevant today might not be in a few months.
Having a healthy mix of campaings will ensure your buisness survives if one or more of the other methods fail.

how long does it take to get 100 visitors a day on a weight loss blog?

Question by Gonzo: how long does it take to get 100 visitors a day on a weight loss blog?
I’ve been blogging for about 3 months now. No ads on my blog to speed up traffic. My niche is about weight loss. It just stresses me knowing that I only have 6 visitors or less a day. In fact I update my blog with new post 3 times a week. I already have 30 post. Since its weight loss, I don’t expect some comments because its not some entertainment or rumor blog. I joined social bookmarking sites and noticed that most weight loss blogs don’t get updated anymore on mybloglog and blogcatalog. I even did a little SEO technique. When I type weight loss on blogcatalog, my site appears on the first page of that site because I update it. Will that happen to search engines like Yahoo and Google too if I update often? Im willing to. How much patience should I need to get atleast 100 a day. Real answers please cause most blog websites only make it complicated.

I know how discouraging something like this can be. You need to be patient, very patient. You are in a HIGHLY COMPETITIVE MARKET.

Here are a few things you can do to help promote your website.

1.) Digg, Reddit, and Stumble your Blog
2.) Post on Forums
3.) Answer question in Yahoo Answers that are related to your blog and give links back.

It takes time just be patient. I was discouraged when I first started but I now understand it takes time.

Best of Luck

Is there an SEO advantage of hosting my blog on an external established Blog system rather than my own?

Question by farhad01582: Is there an SEO advantage of hosting my blog on an external established Blog system rather than my own?
I have a business blog section on my website. It’s basically an area of the website I can regularly update so that the content on my website is fresh. This is supposed to be good for my website in terms of search engines crawlers (apparently they’ll return more often).

But would I benefit more if I also have a blog in a proper blogging environment such as Blogger, WordPress etc. with links to various related pages in my website. I guess the upside would be that I would have relevent inbound links but the downside would be that I wouldn’t have the blog on my own site which means no regularly updated content.

Unless I run the blogs simultaneaously, but would that be seen as some sort of Black Hat technique due to the content being duplicated on an external blog which is linking back?

HELP!

Thanks in advance.
Having both blog on my website and on an external system is an option I’m open to, although I feared that I may be marked as a black hat by Search Engines.

If not then I may as well go for that.

You seem right on the ball with this one…

Believe me, if you do both, I can assure you that you wont be marked as black hat, don’t worry about it. I suggest that you do both, it will truly help you in the end.

However, if you need to chose one or the other, which do you think will attract more visitors? Clearly, it seems like your goal is to rank higher; but itsn’t the goal in the end to recieve more visitors?

If you have an outside blog, how many people will see it? Will it do anything for you? Will you market that blog? If so, how?

How many people are currently looking at your website? Will a blog on your website help retain visitors and help sell your company from there?

Depending on the search engine, there’s far more to SEO than just links; inbound & external. It’s also how many clicks on the page once visited, how long vistitors stay on the page, and so on.

Inwhich case, having both will help trumendously!

up all night normal worry turns to fear and leads to tears.?

Question by : up all night normal worry turns to fear and leads to tears.?
i might have GAD…I admitt its no picnic. Its a flood of emotions that I used to put into music, but that became depressing so I stopped. Now , I’m at a crossroad – pick it up and play or take the pills to help me at night night time. I don’t want either to be honest, that’s how I started blogging. I was fearful of terrorism, I blogged my opinions on the war. I was fearful of loosing loved ones again, I write but what’s interesting – is reading it the next morning. Writing from feeling is like playing music, its not all the same note. The more words you put on the paper the smoother the melody to sooth the mood. Its a coping mechanism, with a double edge sword.. which would be the lesser of two evils continue with typical cognitive techniques or take a pill and order it from Europe online?

Another Quick Moleskine Sketch.

Here is another quick moleskine sketch. The idea came after paying for 20 sticks of satay. Prices of things have been indeed increased. Time to be frugal with what we earn. Anyway, earlier i intended the sketch to be only black and white, but, by the time i finished em, i found it to be too plain to my liking. I needed some color, so, finally i just added vine design as background to finalize my sketch. I like how it turns out to be. It gives a feeling of textured paper in a glimpse. Hmm, may be i should use this technique often in my quick sketch. Okay, i am off to sleep now (i am mo blogging this entry on my bed, waiting for a good dream to take me into my slumber, haha. ) Till next time, and have a very great day everyday. About.me/noorizal
