I have a blogger blog about movies. It is really well ranked by google and receives more than 500 visitors daily from google search. What can I do to make money from this?
I have been told the worst option could be adsense.

Advertising. Talk to local theaters. Fandango and/or Movie phone.
I would use adsense – not sure why you were told this is a bad option. You can also have other advertisors as well. You can also join affiliate programs through amazon.com or other related companies.
Adsense could work ok for you. You just need to check what relevant ads are available for your site.
Plenty of Affiliate programmes out there that would also be relevant to your site. Finally you could try the CPA (cost per action)route. Host of them out there & they work based on somebody clicking on the link on your site & putting in post/zip code, e-mail address etc
